Macquarie Credit Union
2014 DREAM Festival
That’s it for another year! The Macquarie Credit Union 2014 DREAM Festival concluded with an Australian-inspired Fine Dining dinner last night at the Taronga Western Plains Zoo – a fantastic event with 80 guests attending.
The DREAM Fine Dining dinners began in May and our guests have concurred that seven continents in seven months at seven different restaurants around Dubbo were incredible and delectable experiences.
The Macquarie Credit Union 2014 DREAM Festival held eight key events and workshops (plus 10 schools children lantern making workshops) across Dubbo throughout October.

The dance events were a hit again this year! We TAPped in style with our visiting professional performers and judges including; Christopher Horsey (founding member ofThe Tap Dogs) and three multi-talented members of The Tap Pack: Thomas J Egan, Jordan Pollard and Jesse Rasmussen.Congratulations to all competitors and performers in the 2014 DREAM Dance Challenge! The Little DREAMers lit up the stage for a third year and gave incredible performances. All enjoyed dancing alongside and receiving their participation prizes from the professional performers.
The DREAM Dance Workshops had a great roll up and gave local and visiting dance students a chance to learn from some of the best in Australia. Genres taught on the day were musical theatre, tap, jazz and acro classes..... wow!
Reception: The Musical
Twilight Markets and Lantern Parade
The DREAM Twilight Markets held at Victoria Park attracted thousands of people and with over 60 stalls, no one left disappointed. Live music, great food and Spring cocktails in the Cube Bar and a fantastic array of art shops, sweets, and retail stalls set the scene and were enjoyed by the masses.
The Lantern Parade was again a “highlight”of this year's festival. Giant musical instruments, music notes and exotic birds were among the spectacular display where local school children showcased their masterpieces as they paraded along Talbragar Street and into Victoria Park where the Twilight Markets were being held.
