EXPRESSION OF INTEREST - Do you DREAM of organising a successful Festival?

Dubbo Regional Council is currently seeking Expressions of Interest from not-for-profit community organisations to undertake the planning, organisation, and delivery of the DREAM Festival in 2024.

Following discussions at the Ordinary Meeting of Council on Thursday 21 March 2024, our Regional Events Team is now inviting Expressions of Interest from suitable not-for-profit community organisations with strong cultural and creative links, capable of effectively managing and executing this significant community event.

Council will support the event by the sum of $40,000 in funding.

TIMELINES

Expressions of interest open: Friday 22 March 2024

Expressions of interest close: Sunday 21 April 2024

Meetings with interested entity: Monday 25 March – Friday 19 April by appointment within business hours

DREAM Festival held: To be determined by the community organisation, however, it must be and held before 31 October 2024

DREAM 2023

Dubbo Regional Council proudly presents the 2023 DREAM Festival; a month-long, multi-sensory festival celebrating the City’s sense of community, culture and energy.
The City’s flagship event, DREAM Lanterns will be held in Victoria Park on 9 September and will include stage entertainment, roving performers, children's activities, market stalls and interactive family entertainment.
In the weeks leading up to the event, children from local schools participate in lantern making workshops. At 7pm a street parade will travel along Talbragar Street into Victoria Park featuring the children and their proudly-crafted lanterns. A mass of majestic, colourful lanterns will also join the parade.

SUNDAY 3 SEPTEMBER

12pm - 3pm

Australian country music star Andy Penkow is set to headline Zoocoustics 2023, a favourite on the DREAM Festival program.

September is set to bring us gorgeous spring weather and what better way to spend an afternoon in the sunshine than overlooking the picturesque Savannah Lake and Primate Islands at Taronga Western Plains Zoo.

Settle in for an afternoon of live, original music featuring Elle Flanaghan, Harriet Fahey and Sy Allen.

Cafe Wild will be serving up something special for the dad’s on Father’s Day.

BYO not permitted. Cafe open from 8.30am | Bar opens at 12pm.

DREAM Lanterns is an exciting mix of stage entertainment, roving performers, children’s activities and market stalls.

Over 30 performances and activities will span a full afternoon and evening at Dubbo’s picturesque Victoria Park, right in the heart of the City and a short walk to more than 12 places to stay.
